Bor Wildlife Sanctuary
Bor Wildlife Sanctuary in Wardha is one of the recent additions to the state’s tiger reserves. Amid the teak, tendu and bamboo trees; one can sight the mighty tiger or panthers, bisons, blue bulls, chitals, sambars, peacocks, barking deers, chinkara, monkeys, wild boars, bears and wild dogs. The sanctuary has more than 160 species of birds and over 26 species of reptiles including Indian Cobra, Viper, Python and rat snake. Located at about 225 kilometers from Akola, the sanctuary is open for safari rides from October to May.
