Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary

Rich in wildlife and biodiversity; Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary is located about 215 kilometers from Akola. Set amidst a picturesque landscape, the sanctuary provides shelter to animals like tiger, panther hyena, chital, black buck, sambar, jackal, wild boar, peacock, monkey, blue bull, wild cat and bear. Numerous types of teaks, herbs and grasses along with 250 species of plants having medicinal and economical importance are found in this sanctuary. It also has a diverse variety of birds like peafowl nestling here apart from 6 species of reptiles like cobra, python, viper, etc. The best time to visit this sanctuary is during winters.
