Wari

 Wari is famous for its Hanuman/Maruti Temple. Located about 70 kilometres from Akola, this shrine built by Sant Ramdas in 1644 is the only place in Vidarbha known as Hanuman Peeth. It is set on the banks of Kamod River and has a warm water pond named Gokund. Wan Dam nearby has a hydroelectric project. Surrounded by thick forests and tranquil waters of Kamod instil a divine feeling. The temple complex spread over one acre also has a Ram Temple. The spot is famous for its picturesque hills and weekend trekking trips.
