Mansar

This is a major excavation site; lying about 290 kilometers from Akola. Some of its interesting discoveries have been shrines, a palace, a Buddhist stupa and a huge temple complex. So far 5 sites have been excavated in Mansar, yielding sculptures of Hindu deities, artifacts and some coins. The place is also famous for a Shiva temple on the Hidimba Tekri.
